I’m responding to groups self identifying as a militia, and that claim to exist as a check against tryanny. For what is worth

I’m simply using the terms as that are used. My understanding of the word is more or less the same as this:

militia, military organization of citizens with limited military training, which is available for emergency service, usually for local defense

I think you misunderstood the point.

Everytime I’ve seen someone an American militia discussing its purpose, defending against a tyrannical government is overwhelmingly given as the reason, from what I’ve seen when they are being interviewed.

It appears to me, who is not an american, that there is no other possible explanation for what’s happening in that country right now. Like it’s not even a debatable fact from what I’m seeing. The Dems bend over backwards and support this regime seemingly everytime they have the chance to opposite it, CR resolution as but one recent example.

So if both parties are in cahoots, and these militia are by their own words the check to this exact situation, why are they not acting? They didn’t have to start with guns blazing, but I’m not seeing it hearing them in any way doing the thing they say they exist to do m

So as my post mentioned, I directed my question to those members for someone to respond. I haven’t seen any comments here that claim to be from militia members.

Yes it will have some very cringe aspects you will have to get over.

But i still think it’s the best show ever produced and it is often just as relevant any time you watch it or rewatch it.

The reason is they really dealt with some very difficult issues in surprisingly well done ways.

I could go on for a long time but i do really do think this show has everything.

It’s comedy and then it fucking hits you right in the feels with no mercy

And the character development from many, though not all, is great.

But if you do watch it pay attention to the tone difference between them in the operating room and outside of it.

The show runners managed to get some concessions about when and where to use the laugh track and iirc they almost never have laugh track in the operating room.

Characters change and the show is set up that it just makes sense that the 4077 would be different at different times.

Hawkeye Pierce as lower ranked officer being the Chief Surgeon is proven many many times over in the show in spite of other characters that outrank him.

Another reason to watch it is to check out the sheer number of cameos, >!from pat morita, patrick swayze, leslie nielson and many more!<

Its a real cinephile experience seeing some actors before they got famous (though I’m not sure how obvious those cameos will be to too many people anymore)

And yes I’m incredibly biased as this is my favorite show of all time

Seemed a little old fashioned to me because she was old (born 1934) but its hard to see that term used as something particularly weird, just seems antiquated to me.

I was assuming rockets were an option like going to the moon. Cost wasnt something i thought we were factoring in thats not really a factor in just trying to send a space ship at the sun and having it get there. It doesnt have to be moving fast (relatively) to get there so you just need good aim and to keep it on track.

Cost should be its own problem separate from the objective. Assume 0 costs, how hard would it be?
